Simple Steps for Black Sesame Seed Milk
½ cup black sesame seeds
2-2.5 cups of water
Sweetener to taste (honey, dates, coconut sweetener)
Buy your black sesame seeds at a health food store or coop, or you can order them online inexpensively.
Rinse your seeds and soak them in water overnight.
In your blender, add water, seeds, and your choice of sweetener (I recommend honey or dates). Blend all ingredients. You can also use a food processor.
Set aside a small amount to drink and warm the milk until it begins to steam. Be careful not to let it boil, as the seeds and water will separate. Drink it while it’s warm and delicious! You can refrigerate the rest and it will keep for 3 days.
You can drink this treat every day if you like, it’s especially good as a comforting snack before bed, or added to a smoothie.
